Who is Mihajlo Ivanović – Mikser?
Who am I? That is a question to which even I cannot provide a surgically precise answer, as each of us is defined and redefined throughout life. Still, beyond all the secondary definitions, I can single out a few primary ones that will likely remain constants.
First and foremost, I am a writer. In the broadest sense possible. As a student, I wrote poetry and short stories, and in university, I began focused writing in the field of digital marketing. If you’ve heard of terms like copywriting and SEO, then you can guess my primary activity that “pays the bills.”
Yet, a deeply buried desire to pursue writing as an art remained. The kid in me yearned for the fictional and fantastical worlds I knew had always been within me; they just needed nearly thirty years to mature and begin surfacing.
This website is a significant step toward bringing those worlds to life. Here, you can expect my short stories, excerpts from my books, book reviews, and perhaps even a poem or two — why not.
What do I write about?
I write about everything and anything, but I find my true home in fantasy; therefore, the stories published on this site will be, above all, fantastical. However, I often have ideas for short stories within the realm of realism, so those will also be part of my body of work here.
What do I read and who are my influences?
Fantasy is my genre. Starting with Tolkien, moving on to Rowling and her Harry Potter, and through other contemporary writers like Brandon Sanderson, George R.R. Martin, Andrzej Sapkowski, Stephen King, and others.
